Parafricta Low Friction Fabric Technology

Parafricta’s products to manage skin damage caused by friction and shear incorporate a proprietary ultra-low friction fabric Parafricta®. The fabric also has other properties that make it practical for incorporation into a range of products as it is very strong, breathable, silk-like and washable at high temperatures.

Parafricta® fabric is made from particularly constructed fibres and woven in such a way as to create exceptionally low coefficients of static and dynamic friction in contact with other fabrics, wound dressings and with the skin. The properties of the fabric are innate and do not rely on coatings, which could change their properties after repeated washing.
